You have questions, we’ve got answers!

How Can Bad Credit Be Legally Removed?
It is your right and responsibility to assure the accuracy of the items on your credit reports. If information recorded on your credit reports does not accurately represent your behavior as a consumer, then you have the right to request that questionable information be removed from your reports. The Fair Credit Reporting Act(FCRA), Fair Credit Billing Act (FCBA) and the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) afford you the legal right to dispute inaccurate items on your credit reports with the credit bureaus and your individual creditors.

The most popular method for restoring bad credit is the credit bureau dispute. Because of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you have the right to dispute and delete any items on your credit report that you feel are inaccurate, untimely, misleading, biased, incomplete or unverified.

When you dispute a questionable negative credit item with the credit bureaus, you are demanding that they perform an investigation to determine whether or not the item should be listed on your credit reports. If the credit bureau cannot verify the accuracy of the item, then they are required to correct the listing or completely delete it from your credit report.

Another method of credit repair is to work with your creditors to remove the negative items from your credit reports. Your creditors have the ability to delete negative items from your credit reports at any time. With more cooperative creditors, sometimes all it takes is to ask the creditor to adjust or delete a negative credit listing. In situations where this non-confrontational approach is not sufficient, the various consumer protection acts provide you with tools for forcing creditors and collections agencies to prove the accuracy of the reported accounts.

By using some or all of their legal rights to fair and accurate credit reporting, thousands of people have legally and successfully restored their credit and improved their credit score.

How Long Does Credit Repair Take?
It is legally impossible for The Credit Firm or any other Company to promise a particular result or a certain time frame.

We can, however, give you an idea as to how our clients have performed in the past. No two cases are the same and your experience may differ. Each situation is unique and the majority of our customers see results within the first 45-60 days.

The progress of your case will depend on your timely participation, the nature of your case, and the level of credit bureau cooperation.

Can Deleted Items Reappear?
There are times when a negative listing that was recently deleted may eventually be verified by the creditor. The Fair Credit Reporting Act requires that the credit bureau inform you before they re-report a previously deleted listing. The FCRA also makes it more difficult for credit bureaus to re-report listings. Because of these factors, it is fairly rare for listings to come back on once they’ve been deleted.

If a questionable credit item is verified at a later point in time, The Credit Firm will help you challenge the listing again if there are legitimate grounds to do so.

Do I Need My Credit Reort First?
Most people begin researching credit repair after they have been denied credit. Most don’t even know what questionable negative listings are appearing on their credit report.

Once you contact The Credit Firm, you will receive a free credit consultation in which we will get your credit reports for you. During your consultation, a Credit Firm representative will also help you analyze your credit history and find out if credit repair is right for you. If at that time you decide you would like to enlist the help of The Credit Firm to dispute the questionable negative items in your credit reports, you will be able to sign-up over the phone and immediately get started with the dispute process.

Can I Repair My Own Credit?
Yes. You have the legal right to work out your credit disputes with the credit agencies and credit grantors yourself. With the right  study, you could do much of what our staff does.

Many people, however, choose to ask The Credit Firm to handle their repair for them because of the depth of experience we have to offer.

You will need to consider the amount of time and follow-up required to coordinate disputes with all three credit reporting agencies and the creditors appearing on your credit report. When you begin the credit disputing process, you are initiating a dialogue with these entities. This dialogue requires you to properly respond to credit bureau and creditor communications in order to keep the credit repair process moving.

In our years of credit repair experience, we have worked to continually to improve our processes to provide the best value for our clients. With that said, we encourage consumers to dispute their own credit if they have the desire, the time and knowledge to do so

What Is An Electronic Transfer?
An electronic transfer works just like a bank debit card. You provide us authorization to withdraw a specific amount from your checking account on a certain date each month. The withdrawal will show up on your bank statement just like your debit or ATM card.
When Are Funds Drafted?
A payment is charged 5-15 days after engaging our service for work initially completed. Clients who choose additional service will be charged monthly thereafter for work previously performed. Like a utility bill, because billing is for services already received, you will be charged a final payment.

Each additional month’s service that you engage will be billed on the same day of the month as your previous payment. For example, if your first payment was drafted on the 1st of the month, any additional monthly payments would be drafted on or about the 1st. The specific day of the month may vary slightly due to weekends, holidays, etc.

Can I Cancel My Credit Repair At Anytime?
You may cancel the service at any time; however, we ask that you give the repair process adequate time. The initial agreement covers services one month at a time, for the best outcome, you should allow reasonable time for our work to show results.

Client satisfaction is our number one priority and we will do what it takes to keep you satisfied with our work and our progress.

What Is A Credit Report?
Your credit reports are a record of your credit history that is maintained by a credit reporting agency, or “credit bureau”.

Whenever you apply for credit or financing, a credit report is typically pulled from at least one of the three major credit bureaus. While there are many smaller credit bureaus around the country, virtually every credit bureau is affiliated with Experian, TransUnion or Equifax.

Although these credit bureaus collect and maintain information on the vast majority of Americans, they are not affiliated with the government in any way. The credit bureaus are companies whose principal work product is the compilation of information known as a “credit report.” The credit bureaus generate their profits by selling the personal information in your credit reports to credit grantors, potential employers and even back to you.

The credit bureaus receive your personal information through the same lenders who grant you credit. They have agreements with each of these credit grantors that require the credit grantor to inform the credit bureaus of everything that occurs in your relationship with the credit grantor. If you make a payment late, the negative credit listing is quickly reported to at least one of the three major credit bureaus and is added to your credit history.

The credit bureaus collect this information, list it on your credit report, and then sell it to other credit grantors who wish to see your credit history before they decide to lend you money. The credit grantors who review your credit are especially interested in any negative credit. If you have shown any tendency to pay late, or to disregard your financial commitments in the past, the creditors will likely reject your application or charge a higher interest rate.

It is important to note that your credit reports are not just a record of how you are currently managing your credit accounts. Credit reports are histories of everything you are doing with your credit now and what you have done in the past seven to ten years
